Finished - The Lightning Dragon

We finished the Lightning Dragon today, and it looks great.

We put the strings on and polished it.

It is very loud.

Putting on Lightning and Spots

We cut some lightning and red spots out of some vinyl.

We stuck them all over the guitar and then sprayed it with lacquer in the garage.

It is starting to look really good now.

Painting The Body Shiny Yellow

The Front

This week we have painted the guitar body yellow.

Then we put lots of varnish on to make it shiny.

We have made it look quite old and there are paint dribbles.

We are going to put red dots on today.

The Back

Painting The Body

Today we did some sanding to get the old name off the neck, and to get the red paint off the body.

Then we did dome painting.

The guitar is going to be yellow, but it looks a bit green so far.

Starting By Getting The Parts

The first thing we need to do is to get parts for the Lightning Dragon.

So far it is going slowly, but we do have a nice neck and a bright red body.

We are going to paint it yellow and gold polka dots with lightning.
